Who we are

This Privacy Policy applies to the KWFinders website and tools at kwfinders.com. They are provided by KWFinders. Privacy questions can be sent to [email protected].

Information we process

Core tools do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name or email address to use them. When you use a tool we process:

• the keywords you submit;
• the public website URLs and domains you submit;
• the locations, languages and other settings you choose;
• standard server logs, which can contain your IP address, the request path, the time, the response status and browser information;
• any message or details you send us by email.

Do not submit confidential URLs, keywords or personal information.

Google data

Keyword requests are sent server-to-server to Google Ads through the operator's configured Google account. Users do not connect their Google accounts to this service, and the application does not request, receive or store users' Google profile, email, advertising-account or authentication-token data. Returned keyword metrics may be cached for up to seven days to reduce repeated provider requests.

Third-party services

To run the tool you choose, we send only what that tool needs to the service behind it. Each provider processes requests under its own policies.

• Keyword tools: the keywords, location and language you select go to Google Ads.
• PageSpeed checker: the public URL you enter goes to Google PageSpeed Insights.
• DNS lookup: the domain you enter goes to Google Public DNS.
• Domain lookup: the domain you enter goes to RDAP registry services.
• Domain Rating: the domains you enter go to Ahrefs.
• Meta length checker: to show a site icon in the search preview, your browser asks Google's favicon service for the icon of the domain you type. Your browser contacts that service directly.

Website audits, the full-site crawler and the other technical checks fetch the public pages you specify directly from our servers. The website you check will see those requests come from our servers with the user agent KWFindersBot.

Cookies and local storage

• Crawl access cookie: an essential, HTTP-only cookie that lasts up to 24 hours and identifies the crawls started in your browser. Clearing it removes your access to those reports.
• Antiforgery cookies: essential cookies that help protect the forms you submit.
• Theme preference: your light or dark choice is saved in your browser's local storage.

Our pages do not include advertising cookies or third-party analytics scripts. Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the website, may set its own security cookies.

Full-site crawl storage

Full-site crawl URLs and findings are stored for 24 hours so you can review them, and expired reports are deleted when the crawl worker next runs its cleanup. Single-page audits are not saved as reports.

Caching and retention

• Keyword metrics: reused for up to 15 minutes in server memory and up to seven days in shared or database caches. Expiry stops reuse, but expired database rows may remain until routine cleanup.
• Ahrefs Domain Rating results: reused for up to one hour in server memory.
• Crawl reports: 24 hours, as described above.
• Server logs and backups: kept for deployment-specific periods. Contact us for the period that applies.

Hosting and security

Our hosting infrastructure and Cloudflare process requests to deliver and protect the website, including connection information such as IP addresses. IP addresses are also used in memory to apply request limits. We use measures including input validation, request limits and restricted access to crawl reports. No service can guarantee absolute security. Do not submit secrets or confidential information, and do not send passwords, API keys or OAuth tokens to support.

How we use and share information

We use submitted data to run the requested SEO check, protect the service, diagnose failures and reuse recent provider results. We do not sell submitted data. We disclose data to the third-party services described above only when needed for the tool you use, to our hosting and security providers, or when the law requires it.

Your choices

You can avoid persistent crawl storage by using the single-page audit. You can clear the crawl cookie and local storage in your browser. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask about, correct or delete personal data we hold. To ask about logged or cached data, email us with enough non-sensitive detail to identify the request, such as the tool, the approximate time and the URL or keyword involved.

We may update this policy by publishing a new version on this page with a new last-updated date.
